54" Ritewing Zephyr

Bringing you awesome flying RC planes from RiteWingRC, SuperflyRC, BudgetRC, Phlatkits and the Mighty MicroDan motors from Gobrushless.

The Picture on the left is me with a stupid grin on my face. Just arrived at the Tokoroa Airfield in October 2009, for a day of flying with the SWMAC boys and invited guests. The Wing I am holding is a 54″ Zephyr, by RitewingRC. At that stage it had about 600 watts of power, curently it runs just over 1KW and has a top speed just on 160 km/hr

Its built from a set of EPP wing cores, Carbon Rods, Riteweave and covering, to make a very robust flying wing.

The Ritewings are the best in their class, designed from the outset to handle well with a powered system, Designed and Cut out by Chris Klique in the USA, and tested until they are “rite”

hi i am interested in a ritewing for power flight and will like to know how much for one – possibly partially built – like the motor mount attachment.

Hi Geoff – Atomic Start from Trademe ? what sort of powertrain are you thinking of using ? The option range from an IYF30″ running a small outrunner, at 100 watts orso, a LTG36″ at anything from 250 to 300 watts, a TL50″ at 300 to 800 watt range, or a DemonLite 40″ 600 to 2000 watts ? depends on the flying style and what you want from the wing. You live in Hawera ? come on down to the Hawera Airfield on Sunday between 10 and 12. Cheers, Mat
